There is no story: they start somewhere, and they are arrested, but the film still goes on. In the end, what's the point? There is no character arc. each ECU 'listens' to the network to pluck out pieces of information it may need to carry out its work. The latter part follows all the expected beats, including a mildly spoilery opening in the present day that serves no purpose other than taking some tension away.

The story feels a little generic, part of coming of age, part things slowly escalating. In summary, it’s the gigging amp that’s small enough to carry inside the cab of your favourite studio amp. On the other hand, the resolution of the love triangle comes out of nowhere and honestly made no sense. There are hints of a possible complex relationship between Nacho and Zarco (manipulation, betrayal) but doesn't really explore that. Nacho is the main lead but gets no character development, and barely any more characterisation other than bullied, clueless shy guy. The characters all have their expected roles. Presented with sympathy (it doesn't happen often nowadays). Really well done and well acted, this gives you an enticing and gripping thriller. but many great love stories had the biggest obstacles, so maybe that is a good sign. A very complicated one - one where two persons that like each other seem unable to find each other. Because what we do get is a twisted love story.
But that is a side note in the whole story. I can only imagine the level of bullying that is going on in todays schools. Growing up back then had its own issues, but you did not have social media to mock and make fun of you. It is throwback and goes back to a time, where everything was easier. Having said that, the main character is very well drawn and his circumstances make you feel for and with him. Be it a woman and/or her friends, that may or may not be criminal (though to be fair it is quite obvious and not really a question that is tough to answer). you will be quite susceptible to almost anything that show interest in you. If your whole life, you have been belittled, bullied, not being taken seriously by other your own family or anyone else.
